Ravila Sharma - President and Chief Executive Officer
Ravila is the President and CEO of The SpasWorldwide, which was established in 2003. She has "hands on" experience in the start up of a Day Spa operation. In the two years preceding the opening of the spa of her own, she was her own General Contractor for the construction of The Spa facilities, conducted product and treatment research, developed written policies and procedures, and assembled a core of spa professionals to develop and introduce products and treatments, for the spas, Salons, Resorts & Hotels. Her business background was key to the use of Spa Services & therapies for their menu of services. Prior to entering the spa industry Ravila had a distinguished career as a Travel Professional as the Vice President of operations and a partner/owner of a Leisure company. She used her business background and business acumen in developing the policies, procedures, treatments, culture, and philosophy that are the cornerstone of The Day Spa and a model for the industry. Ravila has a long standing commitment and is no stranger to quality professional standards. During her professional career she has commited herself to the spa & wellness industry and introducesd the SpasWorldwide.com a one stop for all spa professionals and Spa enthusiats. An experienced senior executive with an extensive leadership background and specialized skills involving the technology, sales, and marketing for Spa & Wellness Industry, Ravila Sharma has held key positions with several leading Canadian companies prior to joining SpasWorldwide.com in 2003. For a ten-year period starting in 1996, Ms. Sharma held a series of senior executive roles within the Ontario Corporations,Project Director of Skin Care line and opening up day spas in Canada. She has been a consultant to Hotel & Resorts to open up Spas IN North America and Asia. She also worked as Business Development Director for a Travel & Entertainment Division of Sofia Group of Companies.
Varinder Chauhan - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Chauhan is an experienced financial professional in the e-commerce space. Prior to his appointment at SpasWorldwide.com, he was the Chief Auditor of Revenue Agency,. Mr. Chauhan played a senior role in finance, operations, and strategic development at Revenue Agency, a company that grew from a start-up to a market leader during Mr. Chauhan’s tenure.
Rajesh Sharma - VP Worldwide Sales & CTO (Chief Technology Officer)
With a proven background in a variety of key roles at Canadian technology companies, Rajesh Sharma is leading the technology element that powers SpasWorldwide.com. He was previously Chief Technology Officer in Toronto, a company focused on network shared, media-aware storage and processing servers to bridge dedicated film and video devices with information technology-based infrastructure. Prior to that, Mr. Sharma was the Director Business Development in Canada's leading Technology Company at BCE., a company that is the leader in Telecommunication in Canada. With over 12 years of experience in the Management, Financial Development & Operational fields, mostly in the Technology, Spa and Hospitality Industry as a Controller and Business Consultant. Mr Sharma brings his previous years of analytical experience in a broad variety of Sales, Marketing, Development, Retail and Customer Service businesses to studying Resort Spas, Day Spas, Medical Spas, Wellness Centers, and Salons: their profitability, how they operate, and what makes them successful. Mr. Sharma has been involved in the development of Spas throughout the US, Canada, and the Caribbean working with owners, planners, operators and potential owners. His approach is to study, analyze, educate, implement and cultivate both small and large-scale projects. Mr. Sharma’s experience as a Director and his direct involvement in various capacities in the opening of several Day and Resort Spas results in a combination of expertise and experience beneficial to any organization. In addition he is very active in the continuous education efforts and research in the industry. Additionally he has participated as a speaker for Esthetic Shows, Congress of Esthetics, and Day Spa Expo.
Aditi Agnihotri - Director, Marketing
A Marketing professional, with over 2 years of sales and marketing experience Ms. Agnihotri has transcended industry from financial services with two of Canada's largest banks -- CIBC in the VISA Card Marketing division and RBC Wealth Management -- to publishing as part of the launch team at both the National Post newspaper and St. Joseph Media's Wish Magazine, and then in her most recent role onto the pharmacy industry with Pharmaffair Inc., where her role included. Ms. Agnihotri's results-driven creative thinking together with her superior communications skills help make her a solid addition to the SpasWorldwide.com’s team.
Kam Vashisht - Director, Operations
Kam Vashisht joins SpasWorldwide.com with a broad experience base to support all facets of operations with the Company. Kam has both an Economics degree from the U of Agra in Hons.. Most recently, Ms. Vashisht was a Senior Manager with Guardian Drug Mart in a role responsible for business analysis and operations development, that included the management of the design of a new national POS system for the Guardian Home Health Care division.
Nadia Kryochky - Director, National Sales
With over 10 years of Advertising Sales experience, straddling across radio and online with all media giants, Nadia Kryochky is a dynamic and accomplished Senior Sales professional. As one of the first to launch the Interactive division in Asia with Tell Globemedia Interactive (TGMI) Ms. Kryochky has exemplified herself as a pioneer of new online business entities and start-ups. For more than half of her 10 years in the industry, Ms. Kryochky has chosen to trail-blaze ahead in the online sales arena in Canada, making her one of the most pre-eminent Sales specialists in this space. Together with her previous experience as the Vice President of The Advertising Club of Asia, from 2000 to 2006, and a long-standing member of AIMS, the Association of Internet Marketing & Sales, Ms. Kryochky brings a keen understanding of not only the power of the online space but also the breadth of possibilities to explore for both clients and advertisers alike. Additionally, which allowed her to further hone her focused approach to selling and keep pace with the ever-changing online world of technological advancement.
Sergio Iaonatta - Director, Sales
Mr. Iaonatta's strong coaching and communication skills, coupled with his enthusiasm and tenacity make him a solid fit for steering the SpasWorldwide.com’s Retail Sales team forward. Prior to SpasWorldwide, Mr. Iaonatta was the Director of Sales, Ontario and Atlantic regions, for Group Phonecom, a 50M-dollar multinational company focused on business-to-business solutions. Together with his Canadian Sales Professional designation (with distinction), Mr. Iaonatta brings more than 12 years of Senior Sales Management experience where he has mastered a "lead by example attitude". Prior to that, Mr. Iaonatta was the Regional Sales Manager for Ziplock, one of Canada's premier companies. Together with his very tactical and strategic thinking and his many years of successful people management experience, Mr. Iaonatta is a driving force behind SpasWorldwide.com's current sales success.
A.A. Khan - Director, Business Development
Mr. Khan was until recently an Associate with Global Carpet & Finance where he provided due diligence and investment candidate screening for the financing deal that saw the formation in August 2006 of SpasWorldwide. Prior to that, Mr Khan was an Analyst with Layers Partners Inc., where he researched, modeled and evaluated comparable using discounted cash flow analysis, as well as screening technology candidate proposals to evaluate their market potential and forecast their financial feasibility. Detailed financial forecast models have always been a passion of Mr. Khan 's, and this afforded his much success during his time with Media Publishing, where he focused his attention on the magazine circulation side of the business. Mr. Khan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Montreal. And yet, even with the heavily focused financial expertise and background Mr. Khan is a disciplined and creative addition to the SpasWorldwide.com’s team, where he leverages his deal-making and relationship building skills on a daily basis to attract and broker new partnership deals for SpasWorldwide.com. Mr. Khan is an avid long-distance marathon runner and is a keen fan of all things basketball.
